Recently, it does actively many developments which high-end luxury villas and resort hotels at cliff top in Bukit. As representation villas are over million private residences and hotels are Bulgali, Banyan Tree and Alila have been developed.

Name Bukit mean hills in Bahasa (local word) as it says, the area is hillock are formed some hills. It able to have grand view some location in Bukit.

Bukit is quite big area that includes uluwatu, pecatu, ungasan, bali cliff, there is no center business quarter (like town) there are random small villages.

The other hands, The ruderal it leaves and lives quietly.

There are not many restaurants and shops at the area. Drive down to Jimbaran, Nusadua or Kuta. There is one big supermarket Nirumala and most shops among Jl.Uluwatu.
